Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program

Saint Margaret Mercy’s Behavioral Health Center offers Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for both adults and adolescents who need a transition from inpatient care to outpatient counseling and for those individuals suffering from emotional or behavioral problems that do not necessarily require inpatient hospitalization.

The Behavioral Health Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program provides treatment for individuals who are experiencing significant disruptions or difficulties within their family, marriage, work, school, or social functioning. These programs are also designed to help prevent unnecessary inpatient admissions.

Partial Hospitalization Programs offer a highly structured and supportive environment. Our programs provide group, individual and family therapy, occupational/recreational therapy, education, and lectures on mental health issues. Treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team of caring professionals that can include:

  • Board certified psychiatrists
  • Board certified child and adolescent psychiatrists
  • Addictionologists
  • Clinical psychologists
  • Registered nurses
  • Social workers or psychiatric therapists
  • Occupational and/or recreational therapists
  • Behavioral Health Advisors

In the evenings, patients return to the comforts of their own home to begin to utilize the skills they are learning in treatment.
