With over 800 beds located on our two campuses in Hammond and Dyer, Indiana, Saint Margaret Mercy is one of the largest acute-care hospitals in Northwest region. And, we’re growing to meet your needs with all private inpatient rooms, award-winning cardiac care, more than 20 off-site facilities, including a dedicated adult and pediatric rehabilitation institute and a health and fitness club in Schererville, Ind.

Together, Saint Margaret Mercy’s Hammond and Dyer campuses offer a broad spectrum of healthcare services. With state-of-the-art equipment and a staff of over 550 physicians and more than 3,000 employees, we take pride in our leadership role in the healthcare industry.

• Our robot-assisted da Vinci Si Surgical System enables surgeons to peform the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision. For our patients, this means less pain and a faster return to normal activities.
• The Hammond Campus is home to the area's only two-person Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. This progressive approach to wound care has proven effective in treating problem wounds, chronic bone infections, radiation injury and compromised skin grafts.

That’s why we provided over $72.4 million in 2008 reaching out to our neighbors, including $56.5 million for the unpaid costs of Medicare and Medicaid, $11.3 million in uncompensated care and $4.1 million in community support and services.
